Welcome to The Recovery Zone™, a unique guide to 12
step program information on the world wide web. This site was developed as
an outgrowth of my own recovery. Like many addicts/alcoholics, I
lost almost everything important in my life, but have now
recovered by working the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. If you have a problem with
Alcohol, Drugs, Smoking, Compulsive Eating, Gambling, Sex, or
other addictive behavior, I hope it will help you to find
the help that you need to free yourself of these problems that now control your life.
Substance abuse and Alcoholism can be stopped!

While we cannot
possibly cover all addictions or resources, most of the programs
and information in this site are based on the 12 Steps of
Alcoholics Anonymous. When practiced with other recovering
addicts, they offer a program of spiritual recovery that is proven
to work.
In general,
members of 12 step groups are non-denominational fellowships of
men and women with with some type of addiction. Most commonly
drinking or drugs, however many other addictions have been
successfully dealt with through these steps including: smoking,
compulsive eating, sex addiction, and compulsive gambling. These groups are nonprofessional,
self-supporting, nondenominational, multiracial, apolitical, and
available almost everywhere. There are no age or education
requirements. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do
something about his or her addiction problem. We invite you
to check out our addiction forums that include a gambling forum,
a sex addiction forum, an eating disorders forum and more!
If you have a problem with any of these types of
addiction, alcoholism or other substance abuse,
we hope you will find help on our website or be referred to
website that can help you. Be sure to check our our related
sites page where you can find links to sober living homes,
recovery homes, and other detox facilities
Note also that
this site is not endorsed or approved by
Alcoholics Anonymous or
any other group. It is my own work in reaching out to addicts who
still suffer.
If you're new to recovery
from alcoholism, gambling addiction, eating disorders, dual
diagnosis or any addiction, welcome-you are not alone.
